EARLIER THIS WEEK, it emerged that Michelle Williams received just $1,000 for working on the reshoot of ‘All the Money in the World’, while her co-star Mark Wahlberg earned $1.5 million.

Director Ridley Scott revealed that he would re-shooting the movie after multiple allegations of sexual abuse were made against one of the major actors involved in the movie, Kevin Spacey.

Spacey was to be replaced with Christopher Plummer, just weeks before the movie was set to release. When filming began with Christopher Plummer, Mark Wahlberg reportedly refused to work with him unless he was paid $1.5 million for the re-shoot.

When the news broke, senior actors began to voice their outrage that Wahlberg was trying to profit off of the re-shoot, while the rest of the cast, including Ridley Scott participated out of goodwill. These actors included Jessica Chastain, Judd Apatow, Mia Farrow and Amber Tamblyn.

Michelle Williams released a statement in response to Mark’s donation.

Today isn’t about me. My fellow actresses stood by me and stood up for me, my activist friends taught me to use my voice, and the most powerful men in charge, they listened and they acted.
If we truly envision an equal world, it takes equal effort and sacrifice. Today is one of the most indelible days of my life because of Mark Wahlberg, WME and a community of women and men who share this accomplishment.

Finally, Williams acknowledged Anthony Rapp, one of the first men to speak out about Kevin Spacey, and the reason that they’ve all managed to reach this point.

Anthony Rapp, for the shoulders you stood on, now we stand on yours.

Anthony showed his appreciation on Twitter.
